Thursday Thought-Never Alone
Who is your best friend?
Many of us have people who we grew up with, went to school together, or maybe
close family members that we refer to as our best friends. However we know that
the Christian’s best friend should be Jesus. Everyone else has to take time to
handle their own issues, but Christ always has time for us. There are times when
other people just cannot meet our needs, but God is all powerful.
Is Christ your best friend? Everyone, no matter how tough
you are, has an innate desire to be loved. God made us that way. We are all
born with a need for God’s love, but we slip up and try to satisfy that need
with everything else. Sometimes we just feel like no one understands us. But God knew all about us before the earth was even created.

Wednesday Word-Never Alone
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” ~John14:16-18
Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would indwell all true
believers. He knew that we could not make it through this life alone. Through
our own strength we cannot live the Christian life effectively. It is simply
impossible. But The Lord gives us exactly what we need.
No matter how alone you may feel, a born again believer is
never alone. The Holy Spirit is Jesus’ promise to us. He is referred to as a
Helper, an Advocate, and a Comforter. He helps us understand scripture and
brings scripture back to our memory (John 14:26). He is God’s seal of salvation
(Ephesians 1:13-14). Simply stated; He is the Best Friend we could ever have. Thank God for and take advantage of this immaculate friendship.

Tuesday Truth-Never Alone
Not only does God simply have time
for us, He is longing to strengthen His relationship with you. If we
are not observant we will miss out on opportunities in life. A lack of focus or
drive can cause us to miss out on the right person, better job, investment, and
so forth. What better opportunity is there in this world than to spend time
with The Lord Jesus Christ? His loves us to death, literally, and He wants us
to know experience Him intimately and completely.
There are few things that make us feel worse than missing
out on a great opportunity. The greater it was, the worse we will feel. Right
now the Almighty God wants you to talk to Him more. He has SO MANY things to
tell you if you are willing to listen. Jesus is watching you stumble and He is
yearning to lead you the right way. Don’t miss out on the greatest investment
you can ever make; reaching your full potential in life through giving your
life to Christ. Not just accepting Him as Savior; but truly giving your entire
life over to Him and making Him your Lord and Master. God wants to
restore you, make you stronger, and complete you (only God can complete you).
Let Him.

Monday Motivation-Never Alone
You are not alone! God is with you
right now and He will never leave you. No other friend can be as good
as a friend as Jesus. Everyone has to take care of their own issues; going to
work, taking care of their families, finding time to rest, and so forth. Even
our best friends on this Earth cannot always be there for us. We all need time
for ourselves.
Christ, however, always has time for us. He is always with
us. He is always ready to listen. Even when we feel alone, He is right there
with us. Even when we try to do wrong and we want Him to leave; He’s there. If
you are a Christian then you truly are never alone. God is right there during every
single thing that comes across your path. Walk confidently knowing He is
there!

Friday Freedom-Fear
“When I've lost my direction
You're the compass for my way
You're the fire

If you are a Christian, then God is all that you need. Just think about it. Everyone’s relationship with Him is different because God relates to us in a specific an intimate manner. He knows exactly what we need and He meets our needs precisely. God’s grace is all that you need. Jesus’ strength is made PERFECT in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). When you meditate on that there is no time for fear; only time to be a living sacrifice.

Thursday Thought-Fear
Why do we let outside circumstances affect what we know about the Lord? Trial after trial leads to testimony after testimony. God always makes a way. The more we come to know Him, the more we realize just how powerful He is. When we feel Jesus leading us in a certain direction we should go. Looking back on everything He’s done before should give us the motivation to go even farther in Him. But it’s not always that simple…
Christians often let what they see affect what they believe about God. This is backwards. Knowing that we serve an omnipotent God; this should change how we view the world around us. God’s truth supersedes everything. Whatever God has told you to do is possible no matter what the situation looks like. Why would you let anything change that belief?

Wednesday Word-Fear
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” ~Psalm 37:23-24
If you walk where God leads you then your steps are ordered.
When you follow His direction you cannot be lost. There is no need to fear when
being led by Almighty God. Even when we slip God will hold us up. (How awesome
is that?) Therefore walking in God’s will must yield the utmost confidence.
Someone reading this is trying to figure out why they are
afraid. Instead ask yourself, ‘Am I listening to the Spirit’s direction for my
life?’ (Now is the time to be real with yourself and with Jesus) A Christian should only be fearful when they are outside
of God’s will. When you are right with God, then everything else is
taken care of. Don’t worry about what is going to happen next. Simply make sure
that you are going in the right direction.

Tuesday Truth-Fear
Jesus loves you too much to lead you
astray. Common sense tells us that we cannot trust everybody. We
build trust in people through knowing them. The more they come through for us,
the more we realize we can trust them. God has come through for us more than anything
and anyone else through the salvation work of Jesus Christ. Trust means to put confidence in. The Lord has shown us
that we can and should out all of our confidence in Him.
Someone reading this has been asking God for something for
quite some time. Have you been asking God with confidence? We
can get caught up in asking God with our mouths, but not believing with our
hearts. In addition to the magnificent work of Christ, reflect back on all that
He has done for you. You can trust God. You should trust Him. Get lost in His
love and He will lead you to where you are supposed to be. There is no need
to fear.

Monday Motivation-Fear
God has made it possible for you to
live without fear! Someone is reading this and you wished that you
were confused. You want to be confused about a decision God is leading you to
make. You are not confused. In all actuality you are fearful of taking a leap of faith you have never
taken before. Why do we, children of the Most High, ever fear anything? Especially if it is something that the Lord has told us to do.
Look back through your Bible. God ALWAYS provides for His people. Materially, yes, but
more importantly He provides spiritually. The God we serve is intelligent. He
will not lead you to go somewhere without having the proper provisions in
place. If you are a true Christian, then the Spirit of the same God who raised
Christ from the dead is the same Spirit who lives in you. He will not lead you
to error. Walk with no fear. Once you take the first step, then
the second step will be made clear.

Does your heart, mind, and soul belong to the Lord? How much
time do you spend just thinking about the way He loves you? When we really
meditate on how much Jesus loves us there is no room for worry. There is only time for worship. Really
focus on what He did on Calvary; the love that was displayed just for you. God
loves us in such a special way. Let your heart be so filled with praise that
nothing else even matters.

Thursday Thought-Worrying
Why
do we waste time worrying? When faced with a tough decision or issue
we can easily let it take our minds over. We think about every possible
outcome. “What of this does not work out right? How will I make it if I go this
way? What will people say?” The list goes on and on. We think and think about
our situations. Before we know it
so much time has elapsed and worrying gets us nowhere. Why do we
waste so much time on a useless act?
How much time do you spend praying to Jesus? When we have
concerns we should simply take them to Him. “Oh what peace we often forfeit, oh
what needless pains we bear. All because we do not carry everything to God in
prayer.” I love that song. We can give everything to Him! Don’t worry…PRAY
ABOUT IT! Watch the Lord do something beyond your wildest dreams.

Wednesday Word-Worrying
‘Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.’ ~Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV
As Paul ends this third chapter of Ephesians he recognizes
who God really is. Paul tells us that God can do immeasurably more than
anything we can ask or imagine. The KJV says exceeding abundantly above all we
ask or think. Whatever it is, the most magnificent thing your mind can fathom,
God can do MUCH more than that!
Not only can He do way more, that power is also in us. If
you are a Christian, then God’s Spirit lives inside of you. That same God who
spoke and animals came into being. The Lord who parted the Red Sea and His
people walked across on dry land. Jesus Christ who died but rose again to new
life to defeat death and sin. That God lives in you. And when He is in you, then nothing can take you
out! What are you worrying for?

Tuesday Truth- Worrying
God
has to put an obstacle in your way to show you who He is. Most of us
are too stubborn to simply recognize God as the Almighty. Therefore God has to
make us realize it the hard way. Whether it is to get our attention back on
Christ or to strengthen the focus we already have, trials can work out for our
good. The key is to stop worrying about the trial and discern what Jesus is
trying to do in your life.
Sometimes when we reach our goals the ‘easy way,’ we then attribute
it to our own effort. God hates that. He wants all the glory for the successes
in our lives and He deserves it! A barrier you are facing right now is just
another way for God to show you that He cannot fail. When you get to the other
side look back and give God praise. Actually…go
ahead and start right now!

Monday Motivation - Worrying
God is a faithful God. When we take our attention off of Him
we get confused. We start to worry. We wonder if our situation will really work
out for our good. We question the Lord’s purpose and plan for our lives; if not
with our words, then certainly with our actions. We love Jesus, but we wonder if
He really is going to come through this time.
Look back at God’s track record. Every time you were worried
about what was going to happen He worked it out. Christ specializes in the
impossible. What looks insurmountable to us is just The Lord setting the stage
for Him to step in and turn it around in a way that only He can. Then He will
get the glory and praise, and you will lean on Him more. Everybody wins!
