Pain-Wednesday Word

Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him. And falling to the ground he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 
Acts 9:3-5 ESV

Pain pushes us closer to Christ! Nothing else can make us more diligent in seeking a true relationship with God than suffering. Only in life's valley's do we fully recognize our total and complete dependence on Jesus. Only when we are down do we realize that The Lord is the only One that can bring us back up! Have you ever felt broken? God uses brokenness to get our attention so we can realize He alone is the Fixer.

The Apostle  Paul thought he loved God, yet the life he was living was totally contrary to God's will. Therefore Jesus  blinded him and showed Paul that he was not in control of his own life; Jesus was. Only then was Paul able to straighten up and move in the right direction, God's direction, for his life. Whether we are off track or on course and just need a little push forward, sometimes God uses pain to get our attention. When you feel blind, lost, like your cant control anything just look to Jesus. He is your Lord. God will guide you, heal you, and show you the purpose in your pain!
