“Let this same
attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in
Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:]
Who, although being essentially one with
God and in the form of God possessing the
fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not [c]think
this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained," ~ Philippians 2:5-6

The Lord Jesus had no need to try and hold on to His
godliness. Whether He was in heaven with the Father or on Earth He was still
God no matter what. Jesus knew that changing His position did not change who He
was. Nothing could do that. He is God through and through. And nothing could
ever change that.
If you are a child of God, then nothing can change that. God
may be calling you to a place that seems beneath you. God may be leading to do
something that is uncomfortable. However when you know who you are as a child
of God none of that matters. ‘The Message’ says this very clearly
“Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself. He had
equal status with God but didn’t think so much of himself that he had to cling
to the advantages of that status no matter what. Not at all.”
~Philippians 2:5-6
Your position does not define you. You are a child of God
no matter what!
