“Therefore God also has
highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name" ~Philippians
2:9 NKJV
The name of Jesus is above every name! This Christ’s second
step up in exaltation. God set His Son’s name above all else. The name of Jesus
Christ is meant to be revered and respected. The name of Jesus Christ is meant
to be cherished and hallowed. Most of us today use His name in vain or as a
curse word. But God has given the name of Jesus Christ the highest honor.
Someone may be dragging your name through the mud right now.
Someone may be using your name like it is the worst thing in existence. But if
you are a child of God then the Lord is simply setting you up to be exalted.
Even those today who don’t truly believe in Jesus know that His name is great.
If people are dragging your name through the mud right now, don’t worry. You are associated with the greatness of
Christ!
