True rest can only be found in Jesus Christ. While trying to
do anything and everything we run ourselves down. We become burned out and we
try whatever we can to fix it. Paying for massages, taking trips, and even
sleeping pills. All this just to get some good rest. While these may help
physically, often times the rest we need is at a deeper level.
Jesus promises rest for your weary soul. He provides the one
type of rest that the world can not give. The most comfortable bed in the most
serene vacation spot will not provide rest for your emotions and your spirit.
Anybody who has ever had a sleepless night knows what I mean. Bodily rest is
needed, but spiritual tranquility is needed much more. Get that rest from Jesus
